Just Kidz Kutz - Santa Rosa

In downtown Santa Rosa there is a great place to take your preschooler to get a hair cut. Just Kidz Kutz has been designed specifically to meet the needs of preschoolers who are new to the whole hair cutting thing. There are two televisions set up with video games to play, children’s DVD playing, books, toys and more, all to keep children occupied while waiting their turn. Best of all, they get a prize at the end!

The hairstylists are all friendly and know how to get your preschooler to cooperate while getting their hair cut. With fun barber chairs – airplanes and such – your preschooler will be ready and willing to sit still when it’s their turn. For boys, they will add a little bit of colored hair product to make their new cut look “funky,” while girls get a sprinkling of glitter fairy dust to add some sparkle to their new do.

Benefits to Preschoolers

This place makes getting your hair cut a lot less scary for preschoolers. It makes it down right fun! At the end of the adventure, your preschooler gets to pick out a prize from behind the counter. The prizes range from candy to little novelty toys. Also, they have a Frequent Hair Cut Card so after so many visits, you get a free cut which is great for preschool boys or girls with short ‘do’s that need a lot of upkeep.

Disadvantages to Preschoolers

Although they take walk-ins, it is best if you make an appointment, especially if you plan on going during a busy time such as Saturday morning. Sometimes, even if you have an appointment you still have to wait a while. Also, the interior is small so even if there aren’t many people waiting it still seems crowded so be ready to go for a walk or something if you do have to wait very long.
