Johnny Garlic's - Preschooler Friendly Restaurant

Johnny Garlic’s, located on Farmer’s Lane in Santa Rosa, offers a great variety of dishes suitable for everyone in the family. Starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and more, not to mention the preschooler’s menu! The atmosphere is one that does not intimidate preschoolers and it gives them a chance to enjoy dining out with the family without always having to be “prim and proper.” And, if they are good, they get a prize from the treasure chest!

What To Expect

When you arrive and are seated, your preschooler will be given a crayons and a menu to color. But, your preschooler is not limited to coloring the menu, they can color the table covering (butcher paper) as well! Join in the fun and play tic tac toe, draw crazy pictures, practice the ABC’s with your preschooler, or any number of other things that you can think of.

The Kid’s Menu consists of the classics – chicken tenders, cheese/pepperoni pizza, mac and cheese – as well as some healthier choices as well – grilled chicken, turkey wrap, pasta with marinara. Each entrée comes with a drink and a choice of side dish – fries, carrots and celery, apple sauce, fresh fruit, mashed potatoes, sautéed veggies, or a green salad. All for $4.95.

Benefits for Preschoolers

A relaxed atmosphere, things to keep them busy and healthy menu options make Johnny Garlic’s a worth while place to dine with preschoolers. Also, at the end of your meal, your preschooler will get to choose a prize from the treasure chest! You can use this a leverage for good behavior.

Disadvantages for Preschoolers

Although it is a relaxed dining experience, at dinner time you may find couples enjoying a romantic dinner, families celebrating a special event, or others who would like to have a quiet dinner. So, if you for see that your preschooler may disrupt other diners, try going for lunch instead.
