The Exchange Bank Piggy Bank Club provides you with the tools necessary to begin teaching your preschooler about the importance of money management. With their cleverly divided piggy bank preschoolers will learn that money has different purposes, it’s not just for toys! Also, your preschooler will enjoy making deposits into their savings account when they know there is a reward.

 

What to Expect

When you open a Piggy Bank Club account your preschooler will receive a bright blue, slotted piggy bank along with their savings account booklet to keep track of deposits and withdrawals. He/she will also receive a little card that has a grid on it. As each deposit is made, your preschooler will receive a stamp in one of the squares. When you have 5 stamps (5 deposits) your preschooler gets to pick a little prize.

Your preschooler will also receive educational newsletters in the mail about money that you can read together.

Benefits to Preschoolers

Learning about how to manage money at an early age will help your preschooler develop skills that will benefit him/her in the future. It provides a great opportunity to discuss saving money for special things he/she may want to purchase. The Club also starts dialoque about the difference between quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies along with the value of each.

Disadvantages to Preschoolers

The only disadvantage is that you have to roll your own change before you make a deposit!
