Bennett Valley Golf Course - Santa Rosa

Bennett Valley Golf Course in Santa Rosa is a public course for residents. They have all the things you find at a golf course – 18 holes, driving range, pro shop, restaurant, and a PUTTING GREEN! This is the highlight for preschoolers who may want to play golf with dad on a sunny afternoon. And what makes it so great? It’s FREE!

As long as you have a putter and a golf ball (the toy ones for kids work too), you can enjoy some time on the green with your preschooler introducing him/her to the game of golf. And when your practice time is over, you can enjoy lunch at their newly remodeled “Legend” restaurant. Afterward, you can skip on over to the playground that is just on the other side of the parking lot.

Benefits to Preschoolers

Spending quality time with dad sharing in an activity that he loves is a great benefit to preschoolers. It makes for a nice day out. You are not required to wear golf shoes on the putting green, tennis shoes are OK. Instead of trying to take your preschooler to a miniature golf course and finding they don’t like it, the putting green at Bennett Valley lets them try it out for free. If golf just isn’t their thing, a visit to the restaurant for lunch or snack then a little time spent at the playground makes for a wonderful day.

Disadvantages to Preschoolers

You just need to be sure not to disturb the “true golfers” while you’re there. Be courteous to others and you should have no problem.
